About Me

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Maya Hardnett spent her formative years in Smyrna and Sandy Springs, where she developed a passion for art that would shape her future. After graduating from Riverwood High School, she began working in her aunt’s face painting business, a role that not only supported her financially but also afforded her the flexibility to pursue her artistic interests further.

Eager to hone her craft, Maya enrolled in the Didomizio Art Center in Alpharetta, Georgia, where she studied under a true master of the art. She also took online classes from New Masters Academy, focusing on color theory with industry professional Bill Perkins, cast drawing with Leo Mancini-Hresko, an instructor at the Florence Academy of Art, and perspective drawing techniques with renowned artist Marshall Vandruff. These experiences significantly expanded her artistic skill set.

Today, Maya dedicates her time to creating murals for various businesses, blending her formal training with a unique personal style. Recently, she completed her Inner Child project. Currently, Maya is working on another project aimed at raising awareness of experiences from diverse cultures, with the intention of creating pieces that resonate with audiences from all backgrounds.

With an unwavering commitment to her art, Maya continues to grow as an artist, dedicated to learning more about her field and expressing her creativity through meaningful work.
